Director, Center for Statistics and Applications in Forensic Evidence (CSAFE)
The Center for Statistics and Applications in Forensic Evidence (CSAFE) team works to build a statistically sound and scientifically solid foundation for the analysis and interpretation of forensic evidence to grow competence in the forensic sciences and legal communities, and bring together forensic practitioners and other stakeholders through educational and training opportunities.
The Midwest Forensics Resource Center (MFRC) has established a network of Midwest crime laboratories and university-based forensic science programs. This network has two general goals: help universities become better casework, research, and development partners for crime laboratories; and to engage crime laboratories in university efforts. These efforts can better prepare the next generation of forensic scientists, advance state-of-the-art forensic science research, and influence students whose post-graduate careers may spin off benefits for forensic science.
