COVID-19 RESEARCH NETWORKING: SESSION 1
- 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Lightning talks (not to exceed three minutes) – all participating faculty are expected to outline their expertise and how it can address COVID-19, while also potentially specifying the sorts of complementary expertise they are seeking;
- A virtual networking session in breakout groups with a moderator, following the lightning talks;
- An overview of the Research Insights tool to help you identify potential collaborators at other institutions.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically affected the professional and personal lives of many, it is also an opportunity for Iowa State University to positively impact Iowa, the nation, and the world. Through facilitating collaboration with the colleges across campus, this virtual networking event will explore interdisciplinary research opportunities addressing COVID-19.
The range of discussion topics during the networking event can include – but are not limited to – diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccines, socioeconomic dimensions of the pandemic, supply chain issues, strategies for people to cope, and future preparedness for pandemics.
