In retirement, most ex-presidents can’t resist the urge to stay relevant

The research of Stacy Cordery, professor of history at Iowa State University, suggests that while presidents have many more options open to them in their “retirement” than the rest of us, they find the transition difficult and their choices have run the gamut from the decent to the disastrous, from altruistic to avaricious.
