Iowa State receives $450,000 for crucial role in $3.6 million solar research project

Iowa State University’s Mehl Professor Manimaran Govindarasu, department of electrical and computer engineering (ECpE), is playing a critical part in a research project that has awarded Arizona State University (ASU) with $3.6 million. The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Tech Office (SETO) awarded ASU the project to boost advancements to solar energy. Iowa State’s role is to plan and develop a methodology and tool for attack surface analysis and intrusion detection system for an electric distribution grid.
